Blind Middle School Runner Featured On CBS Early Show

I love to run! I keep my eyes straight ahead and run tall and strong. But a car will come by, and I need to go onto the side of the road where it is rocky and bumpy. I no longer look straight ahead, but down, watching for any holes are large rocks that might trip me. What a lot of faith for a young girl to run when she can't see! Our eyes might take away some instinct that would serve us well if we trusted ourselves more. She must love the feel of the breeze and challenge of a hill. She must look forward to feeling the sun of her hair and the steady ground underneath. Good for this girl to be successful despite what others might think of as a great misfortune. She is on her way to a good fulfilling life!
